Actually, the title is for the fact that this post is about Alicia and Cen's fantastic Hump Day party Wednesday. Seeing as it's now Friday, you can tell I'm a bit behind in my blogging. Such is the life for distraction in action.
Anyhow, this week was a blast! The theme was "Ballroom Blitz" and everyone looked ab-fab. So many pretty dresses, I had a hard time fighting off a shopping urge afterward!
Claudia and Landon came with this week...I'm very grateful to them for that. I absolutely adore Ali and the others, but it's nice to have some familiar faces around for these things.
Naturally, it wouldn't be a proper party if it didn't descend into chaos at some point. Our formals party ended with everyone present after hours in bikinis. The after-party parties are becoming almost as much of an event as the parties themselves!!
Alicia even rezzed a dance pole for us, which Claudia and I were enthralled to find worked with 2 dancers. The dance mostly involved a lot of spinning. I think it could have doubled for a Maypole if we had more clothes on.
I've been on a music-searching quest for a couple days, particularly a lot of 90's tracks I loved back in college. I've found a lot that will come in handy if I start DJ-ing eventually. Alicia's offered to let me test the waters in that at the Pit, and I think I might take her up on it.
